Its been awhile since I've been on here. But for the folks who know the crap I've been going through with the A/C, I recently had to get a new driver's seat belt and heat shield with piping and O2 sensor, as well as getting the brakes serviced after 20k Kms because they were squeaking - all under warranty.

The dealer has offered to install by my choice Eibach springs and a Nismo Cat-Back for $500; wouldn't go any cheaper than that.

Looking to getting it done in June.

Good deal?

Thanks!

no...not good deal...GREAT deal. The retail on the springs + exhaust is over 1k. And installation would be almost another 500.

I don't think retail is over 1k. Nismo on leesparts is $624, Eibachs are $247. I don't think the install is over $500 either, the exhaust is only $80 at my dealer.

Nonetheless great deal, go for it.

I am having my eibach springs installed tomorrow for $400.00....................... and thats just for labor. I already bought my springs from the tire rack ($212.00) no tax plus $20.00 for shipping. This is the cheapest rate I could find to have my springs installed........ plus this guy is a certified nissan mechanic and he specializes in Z,s........................ my point being, this guy know what he is doing.

I know it's high, but like I said this is the lowest quote I could find. Remember I live in SILICON VALLEY............ every thing is high in this valley. What is comes down to is 4 hrs of labor, but if it less he will adjust his quote.

2 hours of labor, MAX. Believe me dude, there is no way your install would cost more than any of my shops near the Malibu area, and they aren't nearly that high!

I saw my nissan tech do it in just under 1 hour with all the right tools.... they bill stuff at "book hours" though... which is obsurd at most places because the "book" is for an old mans pace...

Id hang around your dealership and talk to a tech n get him to do it on his own time... id also never go to that dealer again and send them 0 ratings!

I live in PA and a lot of car work is fairly expensive here so I've found and I paid $240 for all 4 springs installed. Wouldn't go much higher than that boss.

Be careful out there.

By the way-- adidas and others-- what should one expect to pay for paint + installation for the stillen front fascia and the rockers?

Did you get a special deal with your install @ Stillen or is this ballpark what I should expect to spend too? Thanks for the info.

You should NOT pay more then this:

Springs - $100Exhaust - $50-60

Or just learn to do your own work and save! Springs can be done for the whole car in 1 hour!

to do the front springs is only 1.7 hours of labor in alldata. and the rears are probably about the same, exhausts is usually an hour, maybe less. So you're looking at 4.4 hours tech time is there labor rate really 113 an hour? i'd say **** 'em, go into the shop an ask a tech if he does side work, then you get the nissan experienced tech doing it at a very discounted price, personally i'd do it for 200, less if i liked ya.

you need to get some friends that are wrench heads. im getting my spring put in for a case of beer, I'll throw him some cash for his time because i know how much he is saving me. a couple years ago i paid $100 bucks for a spring install on my gsr at a shop with no discount.

250 isn't horrible though
