I have a dealer Badge on the trunk lid I want to remove. What is the proper technique? It appears to be an adhesive backed badge.

If it's adhesive, floss. Then buff out any residue.

It might help to heat it up a bit to make it easier to get through the adhesive (i.e. a hair dryer) and carefully pull it off. I've never used floss, but I can see how it could work. As for the reamining adhesive... I've used a small amount of Goo-Gone and then washed the area off (I don't think leaving Goo-Gone on the paint for longer than necessary would be good, although I've never had any problems).

If you use a goo remover, make absolutely sure you are not using a product that removes oil-based paints. Do NOT use Goof-Off. There are 2 types and one will remove your paint.

I have always used WD-40 to remove whats left after pulling the sticker / badge off. Hair dryer works great.
