So anyways, I love my J30 still but its a little lacking in the power department. Instead of wasting a zillion bucks to make it move, I decided to go with a 240 cuz I love the style of that car. Well, it just so happens a guy in Paletine rite by where I live is selling a 1995 240sx SE (thats a s14 right). Its a 5-speed black on black leather, moonroof, original ka24de bone stock, with a little under 100k miles. The car looks absolutely amazing, the goddamn thing put my ride to shame. I instantly fell in love. So now I HAVE to have it. I figured I'd get the lowdown from you guys cuz your all cool and wanna help a brother out right? I drove it, it runs great, started up fine (and it was a little chilly out too). Anything I should look for, Im going back to buy it tomorro afternoon. It comes with a 12 month 12,000 mile limited warrenty too. He said he wanted 9500 for it, but hes full of ****, cuz I aint payin that much. From the looks of it, I bet he would part with it for much less. What do you guys think is a fair offer? Thanks bunch!

$7000 if its in mint condition and regularly serviced/babied. I payed $4000 for my '96 with 98000 miles (but its salvaged and base model). Blue book is probably around $6000-$6500, but I'd double check if I were you.

Thanks bro, I checked blue book, it came out to 6600 in mint. Ill give him an offer of 6500 and play a little with him. If he still wants like 8 or more Ill tell him to piss off, come back like a week later, then see if he takes the offer then (unless some jerk was willing to pay the 8!). :D

Is it a 5 speed and in mint condition?

I'd pay at max, 6000

that seems pretty high, especially in our area, where snow (salt) is a factor w/cars in general. i got a '97 w/95,xxx miles for $8000. it doesn't have the leather seats, it was an automatic, but it has the "evil eyes" which I like. ;)

I'm in naperville, so if you pick up a 240, let me know!

yeah that guys smokin crack! I got my '95 same as the one you desribed for $2000. It needed a clutch but that only cost me like $500 in parts. So i guess you could say i paid $2500 for a '95 240 SE. hehe. I would never pay more than $6000 for one tho. A '97-'98 possibly in the $9000 range but for a '95 i'd offer $5500.

It is an automatic. And I would not say it was mint but in good condition. It has few minor door dings and bumber scratches nothing noticible from 10 feet away. But drives perfect. For $3500 I can put a sr20det and a 5 speed and stay around $6500 total. Still ... a mint 95 should not cost more than $5500.

If you are near chicago, the place where I bought mine recently (92, really good condition, 147k, $1800), had a couple of other S13s and one black 95 w/ like 110k for I think 5000(which I'm sure he would let go for way cheaper since he originally wanted like 2400 for mine) It didn't have leather and wasn't in "immacualte' condition, but it was an SE, 5-speed, and still pretty nice.
