Hey Guys,

I've been browsing this forum getting tips and information for awhile, but I just signed up today, lol.

So I'm looking to lease an AC in the next week. I went into a dealership and and they are offering

1) To pay off my loan amount of 6k on my 2004 Nissan Sentra with 81k miles2) Give me $2,500 for the Sentra

Those 2 things right there I think are key. My Sentra is beat up. I told them I want Dark Slate, VDC, and Tech Package with black leather. They came back with a price of $30,995. Originally they wanted $448 a month, got them down to $428. I then get up and start to walk out so they say we can do $400. I say I'll be back later, I'll let you know. Come back in later and they drop it to $390 a month. Now NOTHING is coming out of my pocket, $0 down and these are the numbers they're prepared to give me. Do you think this is a good deal or should I shop around and try to get it down to about $350?

I'd go for the $350 and tell them you got that price from another dealership in PA. What do you have to lose but getting your payments lower. Remember..EVERYTING is negotiable. Just because the sticker says X amount doesn't mean that's what cost is. It's just a suggested price. Make them work for your business! I got my 3.5 with premium and tech package for $28,500 and the sticker on the car was almost $32K! It can be done my friend and welcome to the forums!

IMO NEVER buy a car by how much you are willing to pay each month! Especially when you are going to trade in a car. All the dealership has to do is just play around with the length of the loan to meet your needs. Out the door price is what you need to pay attention to...

Never go into a dealership telling them what you want to pay a month. Negotiate the price first then talk about financing. Remember the economy suck right now and I know you can get a fully loaded 2008 A/C for $28,600.00 or less............ The reason I know this, is because that is what I paid 3 weeks ago.

I say NO DEAL..................

This is true when it comes to buying! But with a lease I do my homework and tell them the price I want per month tax included/ length?miles ect...

If you are talking the "3.5" loaded then anything under $380/39 months is a deal. I bought the first one in my state and they paid off last 3 months on my old car~ $400/39 tax inc.

I went into another dealership and told them the deal I had on the table and they told me they don't know how this dealership is giving me the deal their giving me because by them:

1) Paying my balance off on the car of $6,061.06 about and2) Giving me $2,500 for my 2004 Sentra3)No money out of pocket from me

The dealership is upside down about $3,300, so they don't know how they're giving me this deal of $390 a month. They said the dealership is going to try and get me to come up with that money when it comes time to sign the lease papers and stuff. Is this true? What is the likelihood of the dealership actually going through with this deal and losing $3,300 dollars on this?

They said if they go through with this deal take it and run, but look over the documents carefully.

They will probably atleast want first month and a refundable security deposit. If your that upside down take the deal...I'm wondering if thats plus tax and tags which would put you around $425.. Just make sure this is for the 3.5 model and what the total patment will be. It does sound alittle too good of a deal..Also make sure you get 12K miles a year minimum!

Yeah, I made sure I told them I want the 12K miles, if they can give me the 15k i would be more comfortable, but I doubt it since this deal is already pretty sweet as it is. I did give them the first month/deposit already of $390. I'm just waiting on a call back from the finance guy their to see what they got back from the bank. Hopefully this all works out. My birthday is on Monday and this would be a great present I got myself

The dealerships numbers are low so they are willing to take the hit, second they might need to move the car. I got a deal on my 3.5SE because the dealership is moving to a new location and do not want to deal with the hassle of moving all the cars to the new location. Sufficed to say the price I got for my 3.5SE another dealership sales manager told me if I got the car at that price he would eat the receipt with ketchup. LOL I got the car under that price, with winter tires and rims, and winter mats.
