Dead Pedal Pad gone for 2010?

I noticed in a lot of pics folks seem to have a plastic glued on pad on the dead pedal (left foot) spot in the Versa. My 2010 does not seem to have this, only plain carpet there. Is this a 2010 thing or did they forget to glue it on in mine?

I solved the problem by getting a square-ish all weather rubber floor mat and cutting a corner off to fit there. It's thick enough it sits and doesn't move at all due to the little nubs underneath. Actually, I think it looks better than that pad they put in, I'll try and post pics later.

What model do you have?I know the base 1.6 versa doesn't come with the pad.

I am not too sure. I have an SL and it has a dead pedal.

I have a 2010 SL and it does not have the dead pedal PAD. The rubbery pad is what I am talking about.

Yep, and it looks like yours is peeling off!

I only have plain carpet there.

But now I have a sweet looking rubber mat, opk I really gotta go get pics. It looks SO much better.

Ok here it is, looks like it shifted a bit to the right gonna have to reposition it. It's just the corner of a black rubber mat I got for like $8 in Autozone. Cut it to size and just stuck it there. It hasn't moved much though I might try and figure another way to anchor it down. At least I'm not putting my foot on the carpet.

Nope ... it's stuck on and hasn't moved a tad since I've bought the car.

Why would you think it's peeling off?

Just the angle of the pic - on the upper left it looked like it was peeling but maybe it's just the edge of the molding.

All I can say is it is not peeling off. Car looks the same (besides mods) as it did two years ago when I bought it.

Ah well. I like mine better. ;-) It looks more solid and protects all of the carpet.

My 08 sl just has glue where it used to have one. I got it used, even though just barely used, and I wonder why the first owner took it off? he only had it for 5k miles...
