I have a '92 with a stock unmoded KA. Was unable to shift into gear, 1st I bleed the system, no change. Next replaced the slave cylinder, bleed, and now there is no clutch pedal pressure. On further inspection found small leak from clutch master cylinder (CMC) on inside fire wall, replaced CMC, bleed and bleed and bleed and bleed, still a dead limp pedal. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

are you bleeding the clutch dampener as well? if not, there could be air trapped in that thing. If your hydraulic system is ok you may need to tear the transmission out and inspect things. This is assuming you're correctly bleeding the system. Good luck!

Since you say you have a dead pedal, that means the fault lies in the hydraulic system an not the transmission. The dampner system makes it difficult to bleed the clutch, you can by pass it or there is a bleed screw on it for bleeding if it is not bipassed. Since you have changed out the master cylinder you probably have air in the system, if you feel any pressure at all, have someone press the pedal an look under the car at the slave cylinder, you should see it move. There is a specific procedure for bleeding the system in the FSM. Good Luck.

Look at an exploded view of the clutch system and you'll see a "dead" clutch pedal can be hydraulic OR mechanical. You're right it's probably not transmission related, though.

take the clutch damper off and youll have alot less time spent trying to bleed the system. youve probably got air in it still, which is not giving enough pressure to push the clutch in.
