Hey guys, new here! We just picked up a 2006 Nissan Murano SE in platinum graphite if I'm right. However, we accidentally left the overhead light on for a while, and the car won't start.

It makes clicking noises when you try to start it, and the HVAC system and radio won't turn on. The lights turn on, but then turn off immediately and only the turn signal and fog lights light up.

Then they click and shut off after a while. I'm pretty sure this is a low battery, but I just wasn't sure. (Plus the overhead lights started dimming!)

Can anyone please confirm this for me? Just want to make sure as it's our first 12 hours with it!

Sounds like a dead batttery to me.

However, You may want to check the terminal connections first. Especially the negative terminal. I've had two nissans (2000 Frontier and a 2004 Sentra) where I've had to replace the negative terminal even though it felt snug on the battery. It's one of the crappiest clamps I've ever seen. I now keep a spare in the garage.

Yeah, thanks guys! It was a dead battery, just had to jump it with our beloved Maxima!

Anyway, will keep an eye out for that clamp issue. We've finally owned it for 24 hours!
