I think I might have left my lights on by mistake and killed the battery, so my intelligent key won't unlock the doors. How do I gain entry to the car to release the hood in order to replace the battery?

  • Remove the key blade using the switch on the back side of the key fob.
  • Key blade is the metal part that your key ring goes through
  • Insert it into your door lock on the driver door handle
  • Unlock door manually

You're welcome. FYI the same key can open the trunk. Since it's not exposed, a lot of people don't know that the trunk has a keyhole.

Keep us updated. I feel that your headlights shouldn't kill your battery. The battery saver feature should turn them off after 5 minutes. But then if your battery is very weak, then the duration doesn't matter.
