Ok, so I went to my first drift event after finishing my blacktop S13 SR swap, had a blast and then barely made it home do to my car not starting when I was about to leave. The battery was dead, we got it started by jumping it, but then the engine just died as soon as I took the booster cables off. Another weird thing was that nothing electrical on the car would work unless I revved the engine a bit, and then everything kicked in. Thinkin the problem was electrical, I checked the alternator and noticed that the small ground wire had come off of the alternator and the bolt was gone. I managed to get a replacement bolt from a friend, but it made no difference. So, is my alternator dead? Is there a fuse that the alternator is connected through? if so where is it on a 91 240sx. Also, if my alternator is dead, where can I get a brand new replacement one. Some people have told me that the alternator from my KA24DE will fit if I switch pulleys but I was told that I need to widen a whole or something. Is there a direct bolt on alternator available through nissan here??

first of all, make sure your battery got juice (any autozone can test it for free)if you know that, start the car, and pull the cables off the positive cable from the battery, if the car dies, ur alternator is ****ed. if it stays on, its working.also you can tell if you have a volt gauge in your car.
