DE valve covers on DET?

curious if It can be done to get rid of those boxes sitting at the top of either valve cover on the DETs.

I would think so

where will your engines crankcase breathe from at that point?

The rear breather though comes up through a hole in the middle of the cam covers actually. but one should be enough for you.

Actually, the CA16DE cam covers are a lot different than the CA18DE ones. They are almost identical to the CA18DET ones.

no no.. style is my sexy box pop-up headlights. sexi is not boxy cam cover

and the intake cover's box is completley removable and servicable.

the exhaust, can be serviced and stripped from underneath, but cant be removed all together.

take a spare set apart and see how magnificent a job the OEM did baffling those boxes....hi five team nissan.

i don't know, i'm just used to my covers, the boxy ones might grown on me though

it will puke more blowby without the heavily baffled (boxed) det covers.
