...just wondering before I attempt to replace the bearing if its even worth the work. The motor had about 150k on it when it was given 2 me. If the cyl walls are damaged then its prob pointless. Any suggestions, I'm trying NOT to spend over 2k for a stock build det.

its just a rod bearing?..if thats the case..go to a junk yard..pull new rods from an old block..and grab that pesky crank..take em all down to your local machine shop..have em fluxed and see if there are any dmg to them..if no..your good to go...meshure them to see what bearing size ya need..buy the bearings and replace all your rods..easy as pie..ps..new head gasket needed....good luck
