I had my head worked because i had 2 bent valves. When they shop set the valve lash, they set the cams backwards (exhaust on intake side and vice versa) i realized this when i was lining up the timing marks. so the lash is set wrong if i were to set it up anyway would the car run or run bad?

well..you can try to swap buckets out tit for tat..and check lash from there to see if its close enough...keep the buckets in order and switch sides..should be close.

just reset the lash, you already rebuilt the head once why risk doing it again. it would probably run but it would never be right. take it back to the shop make them correct it......i just checked the fsm and the intake and exhaust cams have the same exact measurement, the valve lash for both intake and exhaust is listed at 0.33-0.41so it should be identical intake and exhaust, this does not compensate for individual cam lobe wear, so yes it would probably work but no its not the correct way to do things.also found out stock ka24de cams measure 232/232 thats my fun fact for the day.

if the meshurement ffrom the spring seat and the bucket shim seat area minus the shim are the same on both sides then the swap of the cams and there buckets with shims would work...if the lash is the same as you stated..he should be fine..i run BC 272's with a 0.08 to 0.10 lash..thats me thou.

yeah in concept i totally agree with you, there are just to many variables in the head to be sure that you will have correct lash, to loose and its noisy to tight and your valves never close.

glad you got it worked out man!
