Just picked up my wife a 2013, joins the 2009 our daughter drives.

I want to take off the badge on the rear that reads: PURE DRIVE. Is it held on with adhesive or more securely mounted?

Thanks ahead.

If it's similar to the other badges then it's put on via 2-sided "rubber/foam". I usually get a small flat head screwdriver, put some cloth over the end (just in case) and slowly pry at one corner. I've done this to numerous Nissan's with no issue including my G. There is going to be some of the sticky and rubber-ish tape left so use a fingernail to get the rubber off and then you can use WD40 and a terry towel to remove the rest of the glue. Wax the area afterward.

I'd make sure it's on metal and not plastic.

Other people have used dental floss to cut through the tape but I've simply had no luck with that at all.

I used the dental floss method. You have to go slow with it but it works. After that use a pencil eraser to remove the adhesive.

Hmm...never tried an eraser. Will have to give that a whirl next time.

UPDATE

Well, I caught the car with the rear facing the sun and decided to see what I could do just with my fingers. It came off with just a little pressure. It did leave ALL of the adhesive material on the car. Being that most of it is a "filler" to keep it on there, even "Goo Be Gone" did not really help the matter. After about 10 minutes of using my fingernail, I got it to come off completely.

End result is great. No dealer badge and no PURE DRIVE one either.

Good luck to you all.

Mine didn't have a PureDrive badge...and fortunately no dealer tag either, I seem to miss out on those fortunately.

Good job getting it off, it is kind of..large.
