de alternator bare wire, plz help.

took my alternator off today because i thought it was junk, had it tested and it passed.

went to put it back on and while i was attaching the small ground wire (8mm) i noticed that there is an orange-ish colored wire coming out of the same harness, the end is bare and i have no idea where it goes.

its long enough to be able to go into the ground i wrote about (for a length referance)

i searched a 91-94 fsm and i couldnt locate the wire im talking about, and i really suck at reading those diagrams.

id take a pic but my camera rip'd on new years eve (snow+beer+drunk kick off porch)

does the alternator tutorial cover this/

E goes to engine ground. I dont think the orange wire goes to alternator. just black, white, white/red wires.

yeah that little black wire, the orange-ish color wire comes out of the same loom and right next to the ground.

i agree it more then likly goes to the alternator, but seeing how its bare wire and just hanging there id like to know where it goes

I'll check where the orange wire goes. Its not going to alternator.

my wire is yellow and it goes to the oil pressure switch. nothing else for it to go to in that area.
