So okay before i wanted to wait till i get another 240sx as a drift car. but now i am considering my Daily Driver for a
practice machine. but my problem is what do i need to have in my car? I know LSD is one,

Here where my car is sit'n right now.
1. Stock KA24de
2. Cold Air intake and 3'' after cat exhaust
3. Lowerd on eibach springs and KYB AGX Shocks
4. flywheel and clutch.
5.16x8 0 offset. 205 55 16
that is all i have.

planing on putting.
Rear Camber kits
Lsd. (what brand or which one) what i want is direct bolt on my s13 with no modification as possible.
the thing is i live in apt. complex i can't really do mechanical stuff in our designated garage.
and my car has 230,xxx miles( REBUILT it first? Maybe?)

Open to suggestion. please no haters.
NOOBe in drifting, so please i need help not insults. thank you!

Get a welded diff and go crazy.

Daily driver and drifting don't really go together.

Welded, Tomei 2/1.5 way, Kaaz, Nismo, etc. Anything but a stock open or viscous.

Absolutely, I drove on one for 6 months and never minded it.

f*** it just weld that s***. You wont regret it. And just remove your front sway bar after you get it welded and it'll still handle good. Or better yet, if you can afford it (I think you can) keep the front sway bar and get a Oversized, stiff rear sway bar. Godspeed makes one that's cheap and would work well if nothing else. As long as the rear resists body roll more than the front does your golden.

That's about all you need. Do as much as possible to remove wieght from the rear end to make up for lack of power and understeer tendency of the car and the welded diff in normal driving. You don't have a hatch, so plexi hatch glass isn't a possibility, so IDK what you can do to a coupe to remove rear weight but I know theirs something. Cut up your rear bumper support for one. That things 75 lbs and good for nothing except keeping your bumper from sagging and holding your license plate/tow hooks. I'd say you could take 30-50 lbs out of it. That'd make a difference.

But your suspension you have now will be perfect once you get your ruca's and toe rods.

Also run crappy old used tires in the rear and good new tires in the front to help the handling balance.

Once you do all that you will be drifting your happy little a** off.

I drift my dd on a daily basis. It works out fine as long as you know when/where to do it and not get into trouble. Watch my drift vid (link in sig) and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Oh, yeah. Get a radar detector if your going to be street drifting and only do it when no other cars are around and primarily in the rain so even if you do get caught you can just say it's slick out when it's wet and you'll just get a ticket for "too fast for conditions" I've had that happen twice in the past 5 years of drifting at least one turn every day and going on drift sessions once a month or so on rainy nights.

Thanx.

Incase you didn't notice, my vids are all from 2006/2007 when my car was BONE STOCK.

I have two 10 minute drift vids btw. The last clip from the '07 vid I just released a few months ago (240sx drifting 2) will show you how much difference coil overs make. Your suspension setup is just as good though for daily driving/drifting.

My TIRE SETUP makes the biggest difference though. Keep old crap tires in the rear and good grippy ones up front and it'll drift no matter what. BTW I still have an open diff to this day. It doesn't limit you too much once you get good at it as long as you don't have too much grip in the rear or bad understeer tendency. I just have friends that have welded ones and I know what works for them suspension set up wise. (they have coils with no front sway bar and a welded diff)

It's all in the technique. But it's impossible without a oversteer capable rear wheel drive 5 speed. That said the more power and the less rear end weight and the more better suspension and lsd you have the easier and more fun it will be.

That is the longest most bad a** thread on the planet... But the plot twists like hell in the end and IDK if I like it... All that build up. TO NOTHING! To yeah, I'm done with this car. I'm getting a better one. WTF??? He could have atleast finished the first cars story... damn.
