which or what kind of and lsd?
f*** it just weld that s***. You wont regret it. And just remove your front sway bar after you get it welded and it'll still handle good. Or better yet, if you can afford it (I think you can) keep the front sway bar and get a Oversized, stiff rear sway bar. Godspeed makes one that's cheap and would work well if nothing else. As long as the rear resists body roll more than the front does your golden.
That's about all you need. Do as much as possible to remove wieght from the rear end to make up for lack of power and understeer tendency of the car and the welded diff in normal driving. You don't have a hatch, so plexi hatch glass isn't a possibility, so IDK what you can do to a coupe to remove rear weight but I know theirs something. Cut up your rear bumper support for one. That things 75 lbs and good for nothing except keeping your bumper from sagging and holding your license plate/tow hooks. I'd say you could take 30-50 lbs out of it. That'd make a difference.
But your suspension you have now will be perfect once you get your ruca's and toe rods.
Also run crappy old used tires in the rear and good new tires in the front to help the handling balance.
Once you do all that you will be drifting your happy little a** off.
I drift my dd on a daily basis. It works out fine as long as you know when/where to do it and not get into trouble. Watch my drift vid (link in sig) and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Oh, yeah. Get a radar detector if your going to be street drifting and only do it when no other cars are around and primarily in the rain so even if you do get caught you can just say it's slick out when it's wet and you'll just get a ticket for "too fast for conditions" I've had that happen twice in the past 5 years of drifting at least one turn every day and going on drift sessions once a month or so on rainy nights.
