I have all the parts for my DCC install but I'm unclear on one thing. In looking over all the DCC install threads there isn't much on installing and wiring up the outside temp. sensor. I know where the sensor is to be mounted...under the hood just below the hood latch on the vertical radiator support. It's about the wiring...I know I hook the sensor up to the light green and green/white wires from the 7-pin connector from the JDM sub-harness, but I've read you can run them though the extension block near the fuse box but there is no write up on this. I know some of you guys here in the vert forum have done this install and I just want your input before I start this. Thanks.

Here is where I saw where you can run the wire in the extension block: http://jdmblog.com/index.php/6...ation/

I also have a full set of DCC with a like new control unit. I'd like to install it soon too. As far as I know, if you use the extension block, you will have to do some extra work to utilize it. I think those 2 slots are blank, so you reroute 2 wires from 7 pin connector there and hook up 2 wires from temp sensor. I'm not 100% sure about it though. I'd directly connect it to 7 pin connector from dcc. I think many people don't hook up outside ambient temp sensor and claiming their DCCs work just fine, but I don't know if that's true or not.

That blog is by tunedbyjdm.com. I bought DCC from them and they asked me to ship USDM extension block and air box, so I found them in junkyard and shipped. He must have figured something out with them. I'll email him and ask how it should be done with extension block.

I got mine from tunedbyjdm.com as well. I didn't get it from their website but from their eBay store. All the parts I got from them looked nearly new. My control unit looks nearly new as well...can't wait to do this install. Waiting on led bulbs from superbrightleds.com for it then it's going in. If I have to just run the two wires all the way to the front of the car I'll do that. I have noticed that most install write up's don't use the outside temp sensor...but I am. I want full functionality of my DCC, and if I'm going to do it, may as well do it right and complete.

I removed the radio and looked at air mix door and to me, it was impossible to install the motor and arm. There was no space at all. That's why I've been putting off this installation.
