Anyone have one of these and did it make much of a difference?

On a side note; I'm taking the Versa to the dealer tomorrow for service and I am having them look into my HORRIBLE (despite everything I have tried) fuel economy. So if they come across anything interesting I'll post it up.

It says he has an S, so I'd guess it's AT, since I haven't heard much about the 6MT getting really bad fuel economy. All I know is that the CVT is getting the worst fuel economy out of all the transmissions. For example, I just barely made a 300 mile trip on a full tank, and that was 100% highway driving. I've made this same trip about ten times so far (I go upstate to New Paltz about every two weeks) and I've never had a good experience with my fuel economy. I usually would pass a lot of people, and thus rev the engine higher, but this time I decided not to do that at all. I went an average of 70-75mph the whole way, that's about 2200 rpms, and I saw no difference in fuel economy as compared to my less conservative driving, which also averaged at 80-85mph. Go figure.

Oh, by the way, I average around 23-25 mpg, whether it is city or highway driving.

Yup, AT. no MTs at the time of my purchase...

Horrible is; worst so far 19MPG, 23MPG best with mostly highway driving. The E light usually comes on at about 255 miles.

Is the CVT 4 speed as well? How is it possible to go 75 at 2200 RPM? 2200 RPM in the AT is about 55.

CVT=Continuously Variable Transmission, or in other words, he as an infinite number of gears. There are no set ratios, so 2200 rpm could theoretically happen at any speed.

Yeah but the CVT final gear ratio equivalent is the same as the AT final gear ratio. I believe that's what I saw. ANyway there's a point where it can no longer keep the RPM's low.

Yeah at about 100+ mph.

75 is somewhere around 2200 RPMs, maybe not exactly at it. If you're at 2200 RPM's at 55, your car is more than likely in 3rd gear. If you accelerate to 75, you shouldn't be at anything more than 3000 RPMs.

damn, that's 600-700km/tank. I wish I was getting that. I only have the 1.8S AT for now, but most I've gotten is 500km.
