so this past weekend, me and my friend took his SRT-4 to Daytona for the big Tuner Bash. he was there on friday but we went back on sat for the dyno contest. sad to say, he came in third place. an eclipse made 426 which was first place in the 4 cylinder turbo category. the second place went to a nissan which made 422. dont remember what kind tho. but beware, the little srt-4 put down a mean 402 at the wheels. he wouldve won but the tires kept on slipping on the dyno. the guys said the cause was too much torque, or b/c of the factory tires, or b/c of the lack of an lsd. but ya, kinda scary to see the srt-4 give out those numbers. o ya he changed the turbo and manifold. 20 sumthing pounds of boost yielded those numbers.

Very nice indeed, but how reliable is it? Will the SRT-4 engine last with that much boost?

im sure it woudl--the factory dsm 4g63 has proven to take more than that--its built for boost and as long as its tued right, the motor should take it nicely

black srt-4 and i think we were the only ethnic college students with a black one on sat. he was there by himself on fri but he laid down 399 that day. we were the last peeps on the dyno on sat. we ran after a blue srt4. there were waaaaayyyy too many pimped out rides there. lets not forget the beautiful r32 tommy k. edition skyline there also.

i thought the 240sx did 420. but i belive that it was a turbo ka. but i might be mistaken. that 240 was soo tight. the exterior could have had some work done to it. like same color fenders. but its all good.
