I am running and loving my 2003 QX 4 + had a 2001 PATHFINDER LE previously - So living in CANADA, our vehicles have DTRL. My issue is that recently the DTRL's ( both ) and the passenger HIGH BEAM have stopped working. They came on again for a couple of days and now don't work again. I am familiar with the Pathfinder issue where you have to replace the light module ( separate from the lights and located behind the battery )
I bought new Lightbulbs that control the DTRL AND HIGH BEAMS and am happy to replace them. Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas before I open the non returnable lights. Seems funny they would both go out at the same time

You could hook up a voltmeter to the leads in the bulb sockets and make sure you're getting voltage there before opening the packages. If you're not, then you can know to start elsewhere.

A new DRL module from the dealership is expensive. About $270 (cdn) last time I checked.
Don't waste your money, especially as they are not returnable (they won't take back electronic modules).
You can either try a wrecker, where you should be able to pull one for about $25, or do what most people have done:
Crack open your existing unit, and check for cold solder joints. That is the real problem.
If you're not sure which solder joint it is, take your iron and touch up (melt) every joint you can see.
That should fix your problem (been there done that BTW).
