daytime running lights

so i'm going to fail my inspection today because i don't have daytime running lights. i'm going to wire up the foglights to fix this problem, but where's the best place to wire them to so when i turn on the car the foglights automatically come on?

i would go with a relay running 12v from the batt, then have it to turn on when the ign turns on with the 12 accessory ign wire... or something like that

You can tie into any wire(s) that are switched and get 12v. So when the key is turned to on, the wire gets a full 12v, but when the key is off there's no power to it. I'm trying to think of the best place to splice into but I'm drawing a blank.

Anyone have ideas??

Check the ignition coil relay and see if you can use that.

i managed to get it wired up enough to pass inspection on that part *woot* almost road worthy again

Nice, what did you use? Just in case any other ppl are tyring to do the same, maybe do a write up with some pics!!! as daytime running lighrts get you a nice break on insureance!

an insurance break? nice! in canada you need daytime running lights or your vehicle isn't allowed on the road. sure i'll get some pics and do a little writeup thing
