A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I've been having nothing but trouble for years with my Daytime Running Lights (DRL). About 4 years ago, they stopped working - instead of putting the high beams to 50% power (like they're supposed to), it put 1 high beam on high, and the other one didn't light at all. I didn't bother with a solution because the cure is to put the low beams on and all worked well.

Now, what's happening is suddenly my DRLs work fine, but when I put my low beams or high beams on, it refuses to light the driver's side bulb in high or low, and the high beam indicator in the dash lights up in both cases. The bulb is OK because both lights light in DRL mode and I replaced it twice.

I have the factory shop manual and it shows you how the module is wired in, and I know it's located at the kick panel, but what do I bypass to make my lights work without this troublesome piece of electrical hardware?

Seems that there may be more to it than just bypassing the module.

Not sure if the module is made by Hamsar (most are), but I would try calling their 1-800 number to see if they have a specific recommendation for a '92 NX.

If you can get a module that is better quality, it might be the best way to deal with the problem.

(Unless one of these was you the first time you had the problem.)
