Hey i bought a daytime running light kit from canadian tire, its the Hamsar one. I'm having trouble wiring it in. I've checked a few forums and can only find other people asking the same question but no one with the answer. does anyone know how to install it and can give me the run down on how it works?

I've never installed one and I'm kinda suprised to hear there is a "kit" are you required to add daytime running lights to older cars now?

the simplest way I can think to add daytime runign lights would be to use a sinple automotive relay, and triger it with any seithces power source and I'd use the criving lights as the daytime runners

it seems pretty self explanitory to me is there anythign more specific we can help you with?

the wiring isn't cr specific, the diagram you have why is it wired into your parking light (and yes you do have them they are on the corners of your bumper cover) are they wanting to use your parkign lights as the saytime runners? I'd think the driving lights are a better option

thats where they're supposed to be but in the corner i just have the turning signal there's only a spot for one bulb. and the system uses two wires to the driving lights and one wire to the park lights. its a JDM 300zx that might be why it doesnt have the parklights.

Driving lights = two clicks up from off (illuminates low beam, sidemarkers, tailights, licence plate etc)
Parking lights = one click up from off (illuminates all but the low beam and highbeam)

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be attaching the wires at the bulbs, wouldn't you be doing this near the headlight switch near the gauge cluster?

it's easier to wire at the bulb than at the switch, and most likely you'll place the relay underhood
