I got an EZ out bolt remover.... didn't work... that thing didn't budge.... so out with the drill....

Basically just drilled out the old fitting.... pulled out a ton of shavings with a magnet..... rethreaded/tapped the hole for 1/8NPT thread (standard pipe thread)..... put on some teflon tape on my 1/8NPT to 3/8 fitting from Lowe's.... threaded right in! Got it all snug and finished up installing the turbo.

So today we got the oil line issue fixed and my Taka lines ran. I really like the Taka lines, but they kinda fit like crap on a CA. I am not by any means knocking the product, they are very well put together and very nice quality and Harp has been extremely helpful with emails and whatnots.... but I'd almost rather have stock hardlines if I had to do this again.

The oil line kinda rests up against the bottom side of the manifold. I reclocked the center housing a bit, but can only go so far because then the water fitting interferes with the wastegate actuator. But.... they will work. I will post up some pics tomorrow.

Sean,

You had to tap your CA18DE block right? What did you do about the metal shavings left in the block after drilling and tapping?

Yeah kind of an easy fix.... only 4 hours and 40 bucks more worth of tools to fix :rolleyes

This so better be worth it.....

joe, me and joel well lets just say we ended up at autozone at 3am buying an easy out , but we broke ours off in the hole we drilled for it. whooops , we were swaping the sways on his mk3 supra and i snaped a mounting bracket bolt off we couldnt get it fixed. we were getting to tired and slap happy i invented a new tool though a reverse floorjackpress for drilling out crap from under neath. you had to have been there

nope! the DE block already had the neccesary oil feed hole there, it was just filled with a bolt! The only lines I had to make custom were the coolant lines, and I just tee'd them from the heater hoses:)
