To each their own. You are right! Not to be defensive, I did have a faster car before owning a Qx4. My other car was triple times faster than my qx4, however, due to my transmission dying on me, tranny on back order for two months, a TSB that was ever so long and me driving a corrolla loaner for three weeks, I decided to switch, plus the winter of 2001-02 was ridiculous. That being said, I needed more room and I had a 97 pathfinder stick before that car so I always like the path/qx4. I never take my Qx4 off road, I will never tow anything, I rarely haul anything, I have no kids, so basically I got the Qx4 for it's looks and style. I had an option to buy an MDX or rx300 but those were girly trucks. People race all sorts of cars and my preferences will be different than other people. Besides there wouldn't be a billion dollar industry on aftermarket parts if people never modded their cars/trucks. Look at the american trucks/suvs. They have a $hit load of mods for them, and about every durango, jeep, f150 and tahoe owner i know wants more performance. That same question can apply to my Grandfather who has a z06 corvette and never takes it over 60 and rarely drives it. Anyway, I never keep a car stock no matter how fast it is. Alittle more horsepower, better gas mileage, better lane changing, braking, handling, stop light to stop light power, etc... doesn't hurt right? Not for me and for others that are like me. :ylsuper
Not to mention that same statement applies to my G20t. Why put 8-10 grand in that car make it a 400whp car when I can just buy a cobra mustang or something faster. To each his own. I LIKE DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE OUT OF THE ORDINARY.
