Ok... so I've done some more pondering and thinking and a little buying.

Ended up finding a case of Mobil 1 Synth 5W-30, bought it for $28(including tax). not as cheap as i've heard but good for here.

Gonna call Joe tommorow.

Called Infiniti to get a service report for the Q, and they told me it was in the archive. Now it'll take up to a week to "de-archive" it. Argh. The lady told me to try carfax.com. I got the free reading and it showed 8 records for the car, but of course no info on what they are! grrrr. I don't know if I should wait for Infiniti to see if they can even access my record(they were unsure) or go to carfax. Any Opinions?

Got a problem though. At tennis practice I set my keys on the seat and closed my unlocked door. Went back 30 seconds later and the door was locked! Had to call an expert guy who scared the crap out of me with the way he got it open. Why did that happen? Does this have anything to do with the timing mechanism?btw... have a spare key... it's just in Dallas for the time being and I'm in Michigan.Final question of the night... Anyone have a wrecked or parts '94 Q with drivers side foglight still in working order? I'll pay as good as I can for it. I'll prolly end up buying from Joe though since he sounds really reputable and I wouldn't mind help his business out alot..

Ok. And I'm done asking and ranting for the night. Much thanks as always.

The infiniti report will show all the services performed at the dealer as well as the actual milage. It's completely different than the carfax report and worth the wait.

Yes, you will need to change all the fluids and plan on replacing the shocks and tension rods right away. Those replacements will GREATLY improve the ride and handling.

My suggestion is to take the time to read all of Q45tech's posts and then research fuild changes, tires, etc. You'll invest a lot of time just reading, but the knowledge is INVALUABLE.

Welcome to the club. jayson

I second the reading......lots of knowledge here.

Where are you located in MI? I live in the Traverse City area.

I have a '94. The friend that I bought it from gave me this email:

Jeff, This guy is in Athens, he has 2 1994's in salvage. If you need parts you may want to contact him. Scott -----Original Message-----From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, May 07, 2002 10:27 AMTo: Bourgeois, ScottSubject: Re: Pict0003.JPG
