day 1 of ka-t

ok, i have a 91 ka24de t25 i barely got it started about 20 minutes ago it started up for about 5 to maybe 10 seconds then dies. i think it dies because i didnt hook up my internal wastegate line to my brake booster line. is that rite? my RPM goes from high to low, low and then it shuts off also as i got it started i drove it for about 30 to 1 min max on my street. came back pop my hood and saw my turbo mani heating up it had steam comming off from it what can it be? i hook up my oil lines correctly and my return line doesnt bent where no oil can flow through

everything is set up correctly

i have 4 quarts of 5w-30 royal purple. should i go 5 quarts?

What kind of manifold is it? I ask because my friend bought a tubular manifold for his eclipse on ebay and it actually steemed for a while when he first had it. Then it eventually just went away...... Didn't cause any problems at all though. Just was weird....

i dont know what kind of mani mine is but then i was told that the steam is gonna be there for a couple of minutes because its takeing off all the grease etc.... that you have put on the mani. something like thatso its normal

How did it run? What type of engine management? Blow through maf? Recirculated bov?Details.

car runs great now.just need to block my vacum lines much better than tape loL!and i need a custom exhaust cause my stock cat. didnt fit my blitz 3 inch d/p

Manifold burnign for a fe wminutes is normal, grease form hands any chemicals etc. After a 10minute run it hould be mostly gone. Heatwrap takes a couple days.

Looks good man! It should be a fun car on the street, that's for sure. I love my T28. Some guys love em', some hate em'.

And to the man that has the balls to do work like that in the middle of the street!
