I tried e-mailing you about a week ago but haven't received a response, so I'll ask here:

What is the turnaround time for a Redtop S13 Swap into a 1990 240sx? I'm talking about the $4,200 some odd dollar install and motor purchase from you.

Thanks.

I know two guys who were supposed to sign a contract with Afterdark to goto Japan during the summer and cut front clips from second hand cars. However, these two guys haven't heard from Adam for a very long time and have decided to forget about the contract. Also, I was told that Adam "had" his first shipment of motor "ready to ship", but due to some "problems", the motors were never sent and Adam is supposedly dealing with the problems right now.

There are rumors that Adam is skipping town, though, this was just what I heard from a few individuals who know Adam personally. Who knows, these are just rumors.

Hmm..that's strange. That's not what he told me yesterday evening on the phone. He said he didn't have the engines yet, but they arrived at the shipping yard and they were supposed to be arriving at his shop this morning at 8 am. He did mention something about 7 swaps though.

I also could be wrong, but i believe that everyone who has payed for a motor is in the loop and aware of what is going on, but it may take some time for them to be ready to deal with new orders until they get cought up with what they have already scheduled....

I have payed for an engine and im just saying what he told me. He always replies to me emails and i always double check with other people that have payed for the motors from him to make sure we are all getting the same story.

I would have liked to go with dauntt, but it is stuff like this that made me back out. e is a great guy and all, but has had some issues. Besides, if I had stayed in the deal with him, I would not have had a running SR for the past two weeks ;)

Glad to hear he finally has motors though :)

I couldn't have said it better. He's a nice guy to talk to on the phone/email. But I paid for my engine (in full) waaaaay back in November, and this is rediculously too long of a wait. I would have backed out too, if I had known it was gonna take this long.

Im not saying anything bad about the guy, cause i never bought an engin from him. Shoot when he was gettin everything lined up buss. wise i was still a snot nose newbie that knew nothing. Im just like where he at, i havent heard fraom him in a while. Just seeing if everything is alright with the guy, cause he is a real cool guy, that knows alot.

lol, but you know what he doesn't know? He doesn't know which way the fuel lines go on the SR :D

(feed is the one between the intake port things, return is the one from the FPR, not the other way around)

true, but if you don't have a KA in the car and you don't have another one to look at and you can't remember because you are stressing on why your motor hasn't started for the past 3 hours, you kinda don't think of that and call somebody :D

I only live 45 minutes away from adam so i tried to keep up on what he was doing to see if i wanted him to swap mine in for me, but i thought it was weird how he was supposed to have his engines months ago and he has all these swaps and i think i heard he is going to japan with a customer this summer to, when is he gonna do the swaps?

Summer isn't for like another month.I'm sure the swaps are being done right now seeing as he has the motors.

Even though it has been awhile to get the motors I am more than happy to wait knowing that when I finally do get it, it will most likely be a higher quality motor than most other places that sell them.

For the people complaining that it is taking so long, if I remember correctly he was kind enough to offer a refund PLUS interest to those who didn't want to wait so there should really be no reason to complain about the wait.

Correction...I just talked to him again last night, and he does not have ALL the motors, he said he only got 4 redtops, so now we have to wait for the next shipment to arrive.:rolleyes

Yes he did offer that refund, however the new date he set at that time for the motors to arrive was only like another month, so I figured well, even if I do get a refund, by the time I receive the money, place an order from someone else, and have it shipped here, Daunttless's engines will have arrived, so I might as well just wait. That's what I do every time he gives a new expected arrival date...Everytime I just figure, well I might as well wait, cause it's only a few weeks more now, and if I ordered from somewhere else it would take a few weeks anyway. Then the date just gets pushed back again.

not to be a **** but if your tired of waiting for a guy who helped us all out the best he could...plus is opening a shop (which doesn't happen that easy) go to japan get your own motor and install it yourself.....daunt is a great guy....it will be all good in the end....give it some time:ylsuper

I thought the same thing, then I called Phase 2, they just happened to have 30 motors in sock. I pulled out of the deal with Dauntt, ordered from Phase 2 and had a Blacktop front clip sitting in my shop within 5 days. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you get REALLY lucky :)
