Datun 74 ignition switch faulty

I'm looking at this Datsun B210 with a faulty ignition switch that does not work. The guy isselling it but is waiting on the part, I want to test the car tomorrow as it is the only free time I have... is there any way we can run this car without the ignition switch??
hotwire??? :(

Yup, run a hot to the + side of the coil and jump the contact on the starter
