recently pickep up this datsun nl320 and the right front wheel bearing is bad. took it apart to find the inner bearing damage. online and at the parts store it called for 30206 inner and 30204 outter (national bearings). after removing hub found p/n 30304a and 32kb02. do i have the wrong hub?

Nope, you have the same 6 lug hub like the rest of us. Unfortunately 30206 does not work, its a little to small. So regardless of who say what on eBay or parts store, 30206 just doesn't work. The outer bearing is a good part number and works.

32KB02 is the orginal bearing by Koyo, but they do not make it or stock it. I think it is still a good part number, but they were clueless about it.

Just don't throw it away like I did. I thougth 30206 was a good number only to find it was not and that the trash had already been picked up for the week.

One option is to go with 30206 and get a larger race with the same inner diameter as 30206 and with a larger outer diameter for the hub - or so I am told. I just have not investigated this one.

Option two is to purchase a set from a guy in Washington - I just need to find his web address. Blue something....

Yip, '59 or '58, same hub was used for about 10 years. I think they finally changed to something else for the 521 with the L16, just don't quote me on that one. A good question is could a hub from a 620 or 720 will work on the 320 - unknown is if this hub and bearing will work on the 320 spindle? hmm....

If they match it up please let us know. My local parts stores were not to helpful. I'm heading to downtown KCMO next Monday and will stop by Sterling Bearing, something close to that, and see what they say.

Will have your link later this evening. Putting the shift linkage in my '64. If I had an oil filter I could try to start it, but I don't and can't.

Here's the link to Blue Hand Inc for the wheel bearing spacer. Got the info from Steve in OK -

http://www.bluehandsinc.com/

Just scroll down the page a little and you will see the spacer.

If this info could help. Went back to parts store and match inner bearing 32kb02 to 32206 and outer bearing 30304a to 30304. Both national bearings.

So just to clarify:

The National 30206 INNER bearing DOES NOT work but 32206 (which matches 32KB02) fits?

and

The National 30204 OUTER bearing DOES work but so does 30304 (which matches 30304A)?

Sorry, no it does not. The race fit the hub but the bearing did not fit the shaft. Sorry for the wrong info. Back to parts store

here is my post from a couple of years ago..

"Found some of those elusive inner wheel bearings NSK 32KB02. www.universalbearing.com have 5 left in inventory. You will have to find a local distributor as you cannot purchase directly from Universal. Hope this helps someone out."

Hopefully they still have some of these around

After Weeks of shopping, I think it's impossible to find replacement. Only option is new old stock or change suspension. Any help with posting my pic pm me. I want to share what I'm working on

whosdatsun,

Here is how I post pics -

hit Img above on the menu across the top.
Go to your web site for where you have up loaded your pics - sorry cannot upload straight from you home computer.
I use flickr
On flicker find pic/photo
Click on share image
Select size
Click on HMTL and copy the way to long url for the photo -

-- <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/113742723@N07/11827232196" title="Wow, now isn't that looking nice! by Li'l Truckie, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5510/118 ... a2c5_s.jpg" width="75" height="75" alt="Wow, now isn't that looking nice!"></a>

The part you want/need of whatever all of this means is what I have bolded, so from the https://farm6 to the end .jpg all that computer speak before and after can be deleted or simply not copied over.

So you can paste the entire url for the photo in between the Image and delete what is not necessary or only copy the https://farm6 to the end .jpg on the flickr photo page.

Or at least that is how I work my photos and it looks like this for micro small -
Image

or this for large ++++
Image
hope this helps.
Andy
