Some time back on the old 720 World website there was a posting that told all the parts from Datsun and Nissan vehicles that could be used to upgrade the 720 pickup. I know that 280ZX bucket seats bolt right into the 720 because I saw that swap listed and did it to my 4x4 (very nice). Now I'm looking to recreate that list for any and all parts that can be used easily on the 720 2WD and 4x4 trucks. Can anyone suggest from experience what parts can be swapped?

You may not have one. I'm not sure when they started putting them on.

Mine is an 81, it has all the original drivetrain with 80k miles on it. It doesn't have one.

I would love to see that list.

The damper box is dumb any way. Neither of my 240sx have them due to being auto. My truck doesn't have one either. But as I recall bleeding the cltch with the damper is more annoying then if you just had a bypass.

Okay , so here is a start for that list of parts that fit onto the 720:

1979-1983 Datsun 280ZX bucket seats - bolt right in. No mods.1968-1979 Datsun 521/620 bench seat - bolts right in. No mods.1980-1994 Datsun/Nissan 720/D21 front brake calipers - bolt right on. No mods.Weber 32/36 DGV carb - mounting bolts require aftermarket adapter plate.

Others??

I want to know if anyone has swapped the 720 4x4 into a 620 chassis...and if so - what's involved?

I believe the bell housings and transmissions from the late 70's Z cars will fit on the 720.

There was a guy at the local self help garage that was changing out his transmission on a 75 z car and the transmission looked like the same on on my 720 2wd.

Thinking about taking just my 79 Datsun kc body that's in real nice shape and puttin' it on my '86 Nissan kc 720 that has 55,000 thousand miles. And I was wondering what problems I'll have. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

If you're waiting for a reply from any of the members that posted in this thread, I wouldn't hold my breath. Regretfully none of them are currently active members, and have not been around for at least a year or more. With any luck maybe someone else will have the answer your looking for, but it may take some time before you get a reply.

I have a couple hundred pages I saved for my 1983 720 4cyl 5sp 4wd. It served me well for 30+ years. I sold it for about $100
a few years ago.

It would be great if the forum could host the pages I saved which includes quite a bit of interchange cross references. I also
have a parts microfiche which I printed out and converted to PDF so it has exploded diagrams and part numbers.
All told, approx 100mb.

About 15 miles from me I can access the Hollander Interchange Manual so I'd offer to help out but don't plan on my making
it out there upon request, but probably more a 2 week turnaround.

I thought I had the factory manual in PDF but probably gave that away to the guy who bought my truck. I had each page
inserted into a sheet protector and placed in a 3 ring binder which I worked off of on a music stand in the garage.
(kept the grease off the pages)

I joined just to offer the few pages I still have which may help someone.

p.s. treated myself to an upgrade: 2011 Nissan Frontier 6sp V6 4x4 with 48k miles when I quit working
