OK, I am just posting a link to this subject, the important part starts about half way down on page 11, and the reps user name is Mickey1845, I have never dealt or even heard of this company before, but they have actually given us a quote for Datsun 320 wing window gaskets/seals, I have not taken the plunge yet and sent a deposit yet, I was kinda hoping that someone would post a count on how many people have sent in a deposit, they need 100 sets ordered with a deposit before they will commit to doing the work on making the molds and making 100 sets.

I will likely suggest that they publish the number of orders taken as to possibly motivate more people to place an order.
Fact is that thread was created 8 years ago and this appears to be the closest we are to making this happen, we have a published quote, $136.50 USD a set with $80.00 shipping to most US addresses, I do think that is a bit high, but no one else is offering to make these gaskets.
Again I have never heard of this company, a member on that forum whose user name is trakker98 is the one that sent a gasket/set of gaskets to them so they could look at them and decide if they could make them, they said they could as you can see in the thread if you read it.
I have asked my friend about this company, he lives in Australia and knows a lot about Thailand manufactures, I have not heard back from him yet.

I found this user name and password and was lucky it worked, I forgot what my password was for my normal user name waynosworld, if it is not one of my normal passwords it get written on a piece of paper and then gets lost Greg.

When I go to SEMA / AAPEX this year, I can scope out the company. If they're even a little legit, they'll be there.

Price doesn't seem out of line, and I get why they'd want to have pre-orders, but 100 might be a stretch - We've been doing this for a long time and I don't think there are 50 320s that are candidates for restoration at that level.

I agree, I don't see a 100 sets being sold either, but we have to try, this is the best offer so far, actually the only published offer I have seen.
There are a lot of us that would order multiple sets like me, I am waiting a little while to see how this progresses, they have 6 sets ordered so far in the first couple days.
7 years ago the 320 community was way more active, some of the 320 owners have not been active 4 or 5 years, I was thinking about messaging the ones that still have not sold their trucks as far as I know to let them know what's happening.
The manufacturer is also trying to help the guy that has started this inquiry with other ways to fund this.

I'll be in either way.

It's funny how businesses think they need a guaranteed number of orders before they'll start production. There was a time when companies did market research, crunched the numbers, and took risks...

i sure as hell didn't have a guaranteed number of buyers when I started zpowersteering. :) Guess I'm a dinosaur.

I’m in for a set.
Suggest this gets posted on the Facebook page “Datsun 320 owners” .
This is a pretty active group, lots of Australian members.

I don't do Facebook, if you know people/forums/places that would be interested please tell them, I just don't see a 100 sets being ordered without a giant effort, 50 sets would be more realistic, but then the price would have to go up if it was even an option at all.

They put a dead line in for the pre-order prices, order before October 15th and you get that price, after that date the price goes up.
I have been told they are going to have the first samples at SEMA/AAPEX to test fit in some wing window frames to see how they fit, this is happening so get your orders in guys, it is a great price in my opinion especially since no one else is making them, I placed my order.

They made a test set/first set of these gaskets and it was said they were almost a perfect fit, they just needed a few spots(cosmetic) adjusted, I sent L-R wing window frame sections and they said they fit great at the SEMA/AAPEX show as they installed them there and took photos, but the photos are in that thread I posted a link to and that forum is down as I am writing this.
They also made a new deadline of I believe it was November 17 to get the good prices so there is a few days left to order.
There is also talk about making other 320 parts like the firewall/column gasket.
Get your orders in for the wing window gaskets, it would be great to have this company make other 320 gaskets that are no longer available.

Just went to their website. Couldn’t find any listing for the 320 vent window gaskets. Suggestions?

Hi its datsunscott. I would be interested in multiple sets.
How much would a pair be and is there a discount on multiples? up to 5 sets?
Thanks, Scott

Just joined this forum (last posted on "Classic Datsun Pickups"). My truck is a PLG-222. The vent wings look the same; has any one compared them up close? I hadn't looked here for a long time and then noticed a week or two ago that you guys are having gaskets made!!!! Not spectacular timing money wise, but when is it?

There was confirmation that the 220-3 series truck wing windows are a different size than the the 320.
Close but not the same. The new 320 gasket might be made to work with some mods but no confirmation of that yet.

I just read 20 pages of that thread. I see on page 16 someone else asked this question, but I don't see any reply. If no one knows for sure I'll post some measurements off my 222, but right now it is dark and raining. Mostly lately I've been working on converting to A15 and 5 speed

Update;
A number of us have just received the first batch of wing window gaskets from the manufacturer. My set looks well done and one person has already installed theirs, and says they are a good fit.

There are plenty of 320 wing window Gaskets/seals left, I was told extras were made.

I installed these gaskets in L320/NL320 wing window frames, I found on the NL320 frames that the gasket on the rear upright was a little loose, the other 2 sides were fine, I explained how I fixed this issue in that thread about this subject, the gasket fit perfect in the L320 frame, and that is what the manufacturer had for gasket samples and frames to test fit the gaskets, L320 gaskets/frames.

Let's have him pop in and update everyone here, rather than sending folks elsewhere.

I'll also add the info on Datsun320.com once he does.

I just want to post an update.

I was able to order a new set using the link in the message below.

Simply email your address and other information to [email protected] They got back to me right away and shipped them the same day.

A bit pricey but what isn't for these classics.
