The 2000 is hard to come by, as they were built in far smaller numbers than the 1600 Fairlady.
The U20 engine is notoriously hard to locate parts for, and when you do, they're ridiculously overpriced.
The good news is, 1600's were visually and mechanically identical except for engine and drivetrain and a few trim pieces...
I have 4 1600's and a 2000, and as with all Datsuns, buying one from a rust-free state is key.
A "daily-driver" status 1600 Roadster (runs, needs restoration) will sell from $4K to $7K.
A restored one can fetch upwards of $8-10K.
Unrestored, "needs work" Roadsters can be bought for less, of course.
Fun to work on, a BLAST to drive, and parts are pretty easily sourced.
Double those figures for a 2000-cc model.
