Anybody know of one, like that used on the 1st gen DSMs ?Lets you peep at what the stock ecu is doings.Timing advance/retard vs knock sensor activity, is monitoredObject is to keep the ecu happy, so it gives you the maximum timing under boost, ~22-24°. Most common is adjusting air-fuel ratio. If you got some other element askew, ecu will pickup knock sensor readings also, and retard timing. eg. oil contamination of mixture.Basically it requires you to make sure everything is in order, then it will reward you with full timing = car pulls hella hard. Another great benefit is the safety net... you won't hurt your motor.A great $150 tuning aid. Need an old used laptop, or a Palm handheldActually, I read of someone connecting a DSM datalogger to their SR and it worked! Claimed he could make it VERY inexpensive. I'll have to dig for his email, or maybe one of you electronic brains wanna persue it

I'll be trying the TMO datalogger in my '93 shortly.

I'll let you know what I figure out.

In OBDII cars you can plug a laptop with a quick download on it and read it straight off the factory ecu...
