the nissan consult(what blatz sells with their own program) can also read obd2.

depending on the program you get, you can datalog most of the parameters, i'd try to use something like knock lite to read knock though, as the consult isn't exactly the good 1 for that.

The datascan program and the blazt cable will work on any nissan with a consult port OBDI or II. It will read timing but only the timing that the ecu thinks it is giving the engine, if you have retarded the timing at the distributor you will have to subtract that from what the datascan records.

Anyhow playing with timing until you knock is not a good way to tune. Really you should get the car on a dyno (although it could also be done with a g-tech) and mess with timing until the maximum torque falls off, which will happen before knock occurs. Then bump the timing back a bit for safety. My $.02

Blazt Datascan software does not monitor knock. You could probably input knock into any input for voltage, like narrowband 02 or something.

thanks guys i'll give them a call. ishould be safe as the ecu was tuned by jwt but i understand that they are conservative with timing and fuel . i got the the fuel leaned out to about 11.5 afr's on the aem wide band. timing will be a little tricky without a dyno. is there a dyno close to gainsville fl. "nissanfanatic" ? I only live about an hour from gainsville.
