ok so im in the process or buy the tools to tune my car, i have been thinking of getting the zeixtronics (sp?) wideband, but the only downfall is it has no display. i have been looking into the aem gauge, considering its only like 250 brand new, and it has an output for datalogging but it will onyl log my a/f, where the zeixtronics will log my rpms and a/f

my question is will the aem one be sufficent if i have ot hooked inot a laptop, is there anyway to log the rpms with it? does anyone use a aem wideband to tune?

i just like the idea of the aem for the fact that wen not tuning ill always be able to keep an eye on my a/f

uh.....the Zietronix definately DOES have a display, you can buy a display to come with it, or just hook it up to your laptop.

The AEM will only log if you are running software that supports logging such as the AEM EMS or other standalone that supports wideband input. Thing is, , like a lot of the widebands, if you choose to input the value to something other than the gauge, then you can't see the value itself on the gauge.

You can find the lm1's for like anywhere from $300-350. Probably even cheaper on ebay.
