Its not like the G-Tech. All data is acquired via GPS. The G-Tech uses accelerometers. I would think distance measurement would be much more accurate, as well as speed, and... well pretty much everything.
You can do point to point as well. You simply set the start waypoint and then the finish waypoint. You can adjust how wide the start and finish line is as well for tight courses so you don't trip the finish line by accident.
There are also accel, distance, and decel tests. You can infinitely adjust two separate measurements for each. I think distance is even more. There is also a three parameter test, so 0-100-0 can be adjusted. On the "Navigation" screen, you can see overall distance traveled, altitude, MPH rounded to the nearest 1, and a compass. Also, you can datalog as long as you have room on your SD card. On the software, you can see any data you can see on the display datalogged at 10hz and circuit overlays, plus whatever I haven't found. This is really good for seeing where you are slow. Let a good driver do a lap in your car and then you do a lap. Then you can see what you are doing wrong, or differently.
