Alright. First of all, sorry if I've reposted something that everyone knows and I just am way late to learn about it; like the guy that gets to the party after the cops busted it.

Second. They were thinking of bringing the 240sx back as a FWD car..? W.T.F. That's all I got.

Nissan pretty much threw in the towel on making a new S-chassis years ago. The platform everyone thought was being test fitted for it turned into the 370Z.

Yeah I honestly never expected to see a S16 in my lifetime. I just posted this up, because I've seen a lot of people asking when the next 240sx would come out. I don't mind crushing dreams. Especially since all they do is yell at Nissan on Facebook.

The wards article does counterdict a lot of speculation and industry buzz from the 07-08 time frame. A lot of japanese pubs were stating that Nissan had been hinting of releasing an FR platform based off a shortened FM-platform. However, the wards article states it was supposed to be a FWD coupe. Nissan had intentionally dropped hints they wanted to enter the cheap RWD market to sell against the Miata (IIRC).

Either or, as I've said in the past, unless Nissan officially stated something about a new platform, it was all just talk. At least we don't have every 10th thread in 240 gen being "OMG! Pictures of S16 surface!" to have the same photochopped picture as the others.

The 98-02 S15 is where it should of ended.

Nissan/Infiniti knows they're blowing up with the Z chassis, and G coupes/sedans

I think they made the correct choice in leading in this direction, by producing a RWD Chassis both competitive in drift, and easier to work with in my opinion.

In 3-4 more years, everyone will be glad they have these platforms, as 240s will be a tall-tale memory.

Hijacker- True those threads were pretty common when I started here. That is kind of interesting though, would have been fun to play around with an FM-platform S-chassis.

Amays- The S15 IS where they ended it... Is that a good kind of blowing up? I thought the S13 was the quite simple even for a newbie like me. Honestly, I understand what your saying, however the 240sx will still remain popular for quite awhile in my opinion due to them being more common, cheaper, and having a cornucopia of aftermarket parts to choose from. Not saying the G/Z aren't popular, but its going to take awhile for them to find the niche that the S-chassis has carved out for itself. I might have come off as an a** when I said this, but I really don't mean anything by it...
