I have 2011 Versa HB I recently noticed that there is some padding coming out from the dash near where the windshield meets the dash on both sides. I assume this padding is there to keep it from rattling and or squeaking. I went to the dealer for the latest recall (speed ometer displaying incorrect speed). When I asked the maintenance write up manager about this padding, he said to just pull it out that Nissan no longer inserts it there anymore. Has anyone hasd this same issue?

There is usually a foam strip at the endge of the dash under the windshiwld on most vehicles. It prevent rattles between the dash and windshield. I don't have mine showing on my '11, but I have put extra on my 240sx for the same purpose.

TY! I got a reply from Nissan and the maintenance guy at the dealer was wrong. Nissan told me to take it ake to them have them check it again. BUT "DO NOT PULL OUT THE PADDING"

You've got to love the solutions that most dealers offer.
My girl complained about the headrests being pitched too far forward in her Toyota. The dealer told us to "turn them around". A Toyota corporate rep told us to absolutely not do that since it is very dangerous.
