hey does anyone know off hand the fuse that controls the dash lights?when i turn my headlights on my climate control/bose/clock and dash don't light up.

is it just a fuse or do i have a short in the circuit.

the bose and cd player light up when my headlights are turned off but not when i turn them on.

Give a little tap on the "light diming switch???" whatever that call, the one on the lower left side of your steering column. That solve my problem.

Doesn't sound like it is a fuse; if it was, the dash/radio lights wouldn't work at all. Feel free to check anyway; the appropriate fuse panel is located just behind the parking brake near the driver's side door hinge.

More likely it is a bad dimmer switch that will need to be replaced. There is some guy that people on this forum recommend for getting quality parts for cheap. Name is Joe, # is 1 888 216 5328. I've never tried calling this dude, but apparently people on this forum find him helpful.

Joe is the parts guy at Infiniti of Scottsdale ..He knows em inside and out !!And its a BOATLOAD cheaper than most dealerships

yeah i've talked to Joe before and i recently purchased a lower control arm from him. anyway looks like it was the dimmer switch and when i tapped it it came back to life. i may have to open it up and solder it in whci case i lose the dimming effect but it won't crap out on me again.
