Dashboard lights out

I installed a new stereo and, well the wiring got screwed up. Ever since the dash lights haven't worked (the center console lights still work though). That stereo got stolen and i took the opportunity to check all the wires. Nothing seemed to be dissconnected and I tightened everthing that was loose. Its been off for the last three years, so I've managed without them, but any ideas as to why they won't work. Oh i replaced the fuse too.
