night pic, day pic
All bulbs used in the dash are white, none are blue. I replaced the two main gauges with cool white tri-led #74 bulbs. The gas and temperature gauges only have one-LED bulbs, so that's why they are so much dimmer (one of the bases would not hold the tri-led properly, so I opted to use 1-LEDs for the two side gauges and use the two tri-LED bulbs I had to replace the HVAC bulbs: results). I will replace the two side gauges with tri-LED bulbs soon. I'll have to purchase a new twist base for one of the gauges though.
As a result of using the LEDs which have a cooler white shade than the incandescent bulbs, the red indicator lights now look pink, and the yellow lamps just look like a more mustard shade of yellow instead of "fiery gates of hell SES light". The turn signals look more neon green, and the blue "brights" indicator is simply more blue. I also replaced the shifter bulb, ashtray lamp, and glove box lamp with LEDs. Here's a photo of the shifter and ashtray.
I noticed that the "Low washer fluid warning light" has a bulb. The owner's manual states that it's for Canada only. Does this warning indicator function in the US?
The "Service Engine Soon" LED is now very dimly lit when the car is started (not ON; it is fully lit as evidenced in previous pictures w/ parking brake engaged and car set to "ON"), even when the dimmer switch is set to off. It's not visible in the night picture due to all the noise (sorry, iPhone picture). Does anybody know why this might occur?
The Airbag warning light seems to have its own lamp behind the cluster's casing, as there was no twist base for it. Does anybody know whether this is an incandescent lamp, or an LED?
Can the two "Circulation" and "A/C" button's bulbs be replaced?
There's a small hairline crack in the dash plastic cover directly underneath the trip reset button. Is that a common issue?
