Dashboard Indicator Understanding

Hi,
I have a 2008 Nissan Rogue SL, it drives great. But when I on the ignition the dashboard glows battery and oil indicators in red and the "Service Engine Soon" as orange. However, when I start the car and drive all the indicators turn off. These indicators remain off while driving. Does this mean I need to do any check of the car?

Normal procedure to check that no warning light bulbs are burned out. See page 2-12.
