I've got a crack in my dashboard running from the windshield that goes almost halfway to the spot above the speedometer.

I wanted to know if anyone has found a good way of repairing cracks like this rather than replacing the dashboard? Also, what kind of dressing do you recommend for the dashboard and vinyl/plastic parts of the car?

From all I've heard, this stuff's supposed to be incredible...http://plastex.home.att.netFor treatment; pretty much anything but Armorall or harmitall as it's sometimes known.

I agree with you Glyph. I hate Armorall.... I work in the Tire industry and hate the stuff. I stopped using it years ago for interior. I have used Tire Wet by Black Majik (sp??) and found that wiping down the dash with a mild cleaner before application is always a plus. When I apply the dressing, I spray it on the rag and then wipe. I found that spraying it directly to the dash makes it messy and applies way too much. IMO it looks better than the whole glossy/wet look and is better for the dash. Just a trick I learned from my brother (He details show cars - Concours quality). Good luck with the repair. I actually looking at covering my dash with leather down the road.
