I am sure this is posted somewhere. However after many failed searches I am forced to ask...

What do all you Rogue owners use to clean your dashboards? If this info is somewhere else, please point me in the right direction.

IMHO, 303 Aerospace Protectant is the best for vinyl, plastics, and weatherstripping... both inside and outside. It's all I use.

Whereabouts do you buy this Philipa_240sx? Apparently, Canadian Tire has stopped carrying this.

Looks like the Armor All Borg have gotten to them! To bad, because I cannot stand Armor All!

Many boating and RV stores sell it. You can also use the online locator:

Looks like I need some too... 1/2 bottle left. Almost ready to get my Kevlar canoe out for the summer and I need to re-coat the hull with 303.

I am not a huge fan of Armor All as well. Thanks for the tip! I will see if I can find some of this stuff around my parts.

A few Amazon resellers have it too.

Unfortunately yes, I should have bought one last year when I saw it.

For US customers, hit amazon.com, a floridian supplier has a good price on it.

For Canadian customers, the best deal I found online (ordered just last week) is with eshine.ca. I have just found a coupon to get 10% off (That won't be for me as I already ordered): try 10offG35 as coupon code (I don't know if it is still active, but you can try).

Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone!

I'll try the retail outlets first. If not, I'll order it from eshine. BTW, the coupon code "10offG35" is no longer active.

I have a question for those who dislike Armor All. Is there a reason you don't like it? I use that to clean my car and haven't had any problems, so far, I'm just wondering if there's something that I should know.

Armor contains silicone. Silicone is lubricant and I just don't care for the greasy texture it leaves on everything. Not only that, it becomes a dust magnet and has a tendency to migrate everywhere you don't want it... window glass, painted surfaces, fabrics, etc.

303 Protectant is not greasy, leaves a low gloss (doesn't look as plasticky), and stays where you put it. It also tends to last a fairly long time so you don't need to re-apply as often.

Thanks. I guess I'll give something else a try and see the difference.

I never usually clean the rubber or plastic in my vehicles but I always see armor all lying around in the garage. I'm Still usually too lazy to use it since I only focus on washing or waxing the car.

Anyways, the plastic steps on my nerf bars were fading or not looking right. So I tried the armor all and it looks like new and much better looking. I was very impressed how it made worn looking plastic (actually steps on my tubes that are a few months old) look like new again.

I have no problem with armor all. The problem with the 303 protectant or special waxes people suggest in here is that they are never easy to find at the local everyday store or Wal-mart for that matter. Which leads me to buy anyting that works or whatever is available.

When it comes to cleaning rubber or plastic, I'm not at the stage where I will look online or shop on ebay because I need to have it. In this matter, I will use whatever they have on a store shelf or whats lying in the garage.

If its easy to buy it, then I would try it. Probably only reason I never tried amsoil because of lak of availabiliy, not saying its better but hard to come by.

Watch out that the Armor All on your steps doesn't cause you to land on your behind. Best not to use AA on things that require friction. Motorcycle seats, handgrips, tires and step treads come to mind as no no's.

Funny, almost none of my car care stuff comes from Walmart or any local source (not by choice -- they just don't carry it) except for 303 which I pick up at a local boating store. I also use Amsoil. It's really not a big deal IMO to plan ahead and order what I need. Shipping to my door is far more convenient than dealing with the hordes at Wally World but I guess it's a YMMV thing.

Stay away from Armor all and any other cheap brand. Lexol makes Vinylex which is good then there is 303 Aerospace Protectant.

I use Meguiar's Natural Shine Vinyl and Rubber Protectarant. I find it works great and doesn't leave the dash looking greasy like Armor All does. Aerospace is great, but VERY hard to find, so I'd rather use something I can pick up locally. Almost all car places(Pep Boys, Autozone, O'Reilly's, Advance Auto, as well as Wal-Mart etc. carry Meguiar's products.

I was wondering the same thing. Is it okay to use windex to clean your dashboard on a new 2015 rogue or should you use a special solution? I'm concerned with scratching it as my older cars dashboard is already scratched up and I don't want this one to end up like that. How can you wipe the dashboard and navigation and radio Etc without scratching it? Use a microfiber? What kind of microfiber? Is windex safe for the dashboard?

- Use a clean microfibre cloth. Feel free to use cheap clothes (like the giant packs you buy) because it is more important they are clean.
- Use a cleaner that is recommended for interior plastics. You would not want there to be some sort of chemical in the cleaner that may cause premature fading. If you are deadset on the cheapest solution, then it is of course mild soap/water. However, the better cleaners have UV protectants in them to help resist fading so it might be worth investing in them. I use Einszett Cockpit Premium (http://www.autogeek.net/1z-einzett-cockpit-premium.html) myself, but Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer is also fine (easier to find at stores). There are more heavy duty cleaners are well if you need (again, I use Einszett). These heavy duty cleaners might only be needed for exterior plastic. There are also more high quality protectants for exterior plastic.

Scratching your dashboard would be more the fault of dragging something along it, rather than the cleaner you use. You want to make sure that if you have anything which could scratch it is gently taken off the surface before you really apply your cleaner. If you are using microfibre it is typically (as who has giant rocks on their dash?) picked up within the microfibre cloth. So, common sense but I have to say it, do not do something like use the same microfibre on your floormats you use on your dash.

The best and safest retail dash cleaner/protectant to use are: Mothers VLR, Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner, and Turtle Wax Dash and Glass. These products will not make your dash or interior panels greasy/shiny/slick/slippery, etc, and will not cause your dash/interior panels to crack, or bubble from the summer heat. There are "better" products available that you can just order online---however, the products I listed will more than suffice for 99% of people. :yesnod
