I have an electrical problem on my 91 SE coupe. While driving at night with my lights on, my dash light will go out and my HUD will get brighter, it's as if I turned off the lights for day time driving. Sometimes a bump in the road will make the dash light come back on like normal, but I'm usually in the dark.

Has anyone had this problem, and if so, what was the fix? :help

sounds like a loose plug or ground to me.Check the dash light circuit for a bad ground or loose wires, the brightness is probably due to the extra juice running through that circuit when the other circuit dies.

Where exactly is the dash light circuit? Is it behind the dash or somewhere near the fuse box?

there is a control unit which controls your digital dash lighting. it is located below the cluster near the steering coloum i believe that unit has a bad joint in it most likely and needs to be resoildered. should be where the connector on the unit attaches to the circuit board inside.

Hey thanks, I'll take a look at it ASAP.
