I've tried to look up if i would be able to put a 90 model dash into my 94 model and i cant seem to find too much on it, not sure if i'm looking hard enough or what.
What i need to know is how to take the airbag out from under the dash and would that cause any legal problems?
I like the look of the airbag-less dash a lot more since it doesn't have the cutout and i'm not too big on airbags myself.

Also, there are some differences such as the cruise controls and climate controls that would probably need swapping, if it's possible.

Yes those help, thank you.
I guess a bigger question of mine is the legality of it, if i take the air bags out, will it cause any future problems? Besides not being there if i get in an accident. lol

I think that's a legitimate concern, although not sure about the legal end.
I think I'd assume that having removed it would not work in your favor at the very least with insurance and an accident, and obviously reduce your safety in said accident.
I am similar to you regarding the driver constraints we now take for granted, but have just learned to live with it in my TT as I definitely preferred the '90 setup.

You're tossing out an airbag for looks? Never mind the legality, there's something you've overlooked. Your insurance company might not be too keen on this mod. Suppose for example you're involved in an accident, and the airbag isn't there. If you're injured because the airbag is missing, will your insurance company deny your claim? Or can they cancel your policy because you deliberately removed a safety feature, purely for cosmetic reasons? :slap:

Yeah, just getting input on the idea, probably wont do it mainly for the reasons you've stated. Still need to take my dash out and glue down a spot by my defrost vent though : P.

Powertrix makes dash vent covers that look very good in carbon fiber, and cover/hold down delaminating vent openings...
