Doc, you didn't remove the front A pillar finishers to get the grille out? I certainly did. Removing the finisher isn't hard, just pry it off. There's two clips on it and it should pop right off. Then it's easier to get to the grille, FWIW.rjdmmfl1 wrote:a thin flathead screwdriver will remove them...

Yes, there are curtain air bags on either side of the car at the top end of the A pillar. If it's just one wire, it can be done as long as you put it behind the curtain. If you take it apart, you'll see what I mean.domdada wrote:Hey guys, speaking about the a pillar, is the side curtain airbags located in there or no? I wanted to remove them to run the wire for my radar detector but wasn't sure if there were or not.
Long odds that you'd actually set off the air bag. However, I certainly wouldn't recommend doing it with the battery still connected. I've pulled mine off probably 3 times (each side) and not had any issues. Disconnect the batt and you should be fine.domdada wrote:I'm just worried that it will deploy if and when i take it off and put it back in. Would disconnecting the battery be the safest way to do this or would i be ok w/o disconnecting the battery?
