Dash removal on 95 pathfinder?

I'm taking out the dash on my truck to find a squeek that is very annoying and wont go away. it is on the driver's side, near the windshield. I have the dash completely unbolted, all that is holding it on is a few pieces that run towards the firewall. to get these out do I just give it a good pull or is there a trick to it? I dont want to break anything and make my problem worse. thanks.

Well, I'm starting to think it has something to do with the windshield. as torn apart as my truck is, it still squeaks. I noticed the caulking or w/e pushing out the side by my a-pillar, as though it wasnt installed properly, and I also noticed it cracked near the top behind the mirror just recently. I think my whole windshield is coming loose.
