Anyone know where i can find a diagram on how to wire the dash plug for a CA on a 90 240SX?

I got most of the wires matched up color for color, but theres like 5 or so wires left over. Just want to make sure I got everything right before I put everything back and start her up.

Also what color/order do the injector plugs going in?

you should have a few left over, between 5 or 6 left over and 3-6 connected, we just did usdm_onevia's car saturday night we had excess unconntected wires, as did i on my car! color match them and try and start the car up!!

Yeah, i color matched them. I guess ill wrap up the left over ones. Everything else plugged in except one plug by the battery tray. The brown KA plug wont plug into the CA one. the other big plug went in fine but the 2nd plug wont line up.

Should I do the same thing, color for color?

Also what about the injectors? I dont think i got 2 of the plugs right. Might have mixed them with the ACC valve and the one next to it.

yeah, the little brown plug on the chassis will have to be switched so it will plug into the Ca harness! the big plug also on that same string has to be spliced if youll look closely the color of wires doesnt match up on the two bigplugs!

You mean use the KA plug from the harness and swap it with the CA one for the brown plug or change the actual brown plug on the KA chassis side?

I still need help with the injectors. If you find out what color order they go, email it to me at [email protected]

Thanks

Most of the wires on the dash plug that are left over are greens. And they go to the "Check Connector" which is what the techs plug their diagnostics computers into to see what the car is doing. Not neccessary for the operation of the car. I think I only had like 6 wires that connected up on the dash plug.

I am tackling the 2 8 pin connectors by the battery now. Looks like I am only going to use about 7 or 8 of the wires since I ditched the AC and like 3 of the wires are for AC.

Also... it looks like you have to connect 2 wires on the CA side of the harness to 1 wire on the KA side. One drives the ignition coil and I think the other drives the coil packs. Check out the diagram on SRswap.com and you will see what I mean.

Jon.... are ya busy on Wednesday or Thursday? I am off those days and it looks like those are my start up dates. Just a few more things to connect/extend.

I did the plugs by the battery today, got the diagram from SR swap. Finished up the dash plug and put the cover over the ecu and wire loom.

Still havent bought the hose for the intercooler that goes from the turbo to the intercooler. I have everything else.

The car wants to start. I still think my injectors are connected wrong. The car starts for like a second then it dies.

I really want to get this thing on the road tomorrow. There nothing else left to do. Just the intercooler and injectors. Then I can go to the muffler shop so they can weld my downpipe. I already cut the downpipe and bolted it on. They just need to weld it right where its at.

Id say im pretty satisfied with the work ive done and the way the engine looks. Badass looking little motor.

Thursday will work for me. I might go out and finish up some minor items this afternoon.

I swapped over the brown connector from KA harness into the CA harness. I think I only had like 4 wires from that hooked up. Then I spliced the KA big plug into the CA harness and only have like 4 wires spliced up there too. I don't think the big plug is wired right though. On the SRswap site it looks like there are two wires going from the engine side into one wire on the chassis harness. Is that right or not?

Lots of little things are pissing me off right now and I don't even feel like going out and working on them.....

-Throttle cable is stupid long and the mounting part of it does NOT line up with the bracket on the motor. Either I have to make a new bracket or figure out some way to get the throttle cable to work.

-Negative batter cable is too short..... It will reach from the battery tray to the battery, but it is too short from the tray to the motor. Can I just ground the body ground anywhere on the car and have it work?

-My wiring looks ghetto as hell..... didn't turn out the way I wanted it too, plus I still have to route the MAF, Ignitor, and resistor over to the other side of the engine bay.

-Don't have all the piping or brackets for the intercooler. I guess it's Home Depot PVC racing pipe for me.... GHETTOOOOOOO!!!!

-Fix downpipe

-Replace fluids

-Hook up boost gauge

-Pray it starts.
