I did a search and i couldnt find nethin to help me so here it goes. Wen I turn my ignition completely off my dash lights still come on, more specifically the ebrake light, check engine light, seatbelt light and door light. This just started recently wen the coldest day in chicago hit. Only after several attempts to start my car again will they turn off once i pull the keys out( i say attempt b/c my car wont start).

hey i have the same exact problem. Theres a thread of it in nissan mechanic. so you might want to read that. IM not exactly sure whats wrong with it but i was thinking maybe that the electrical of the switch on the ignition switch is messed up. Thats what nistech told me to check out. BUt i havent figured anything. IT can also be somethign with ground problems.

Sounds like you have a short to power.

Check your switch with a DVOM.

Remember White/Red wire is constant power.

Also there is a white circut breaker(box) Behind the drivers kick panel. You have to take off the door sills to access this part.

That white"box" is located to the left of the fuse box. If that blows out or has problems. It will affect the dash light operation.

DVOM,Digital Volt-O-Meter?

how would you check to see if it is blown and or loose connection?

Also with my problem it somtimes turns off when i take the key out buit 90% of the time the lights and accories stay on as if it was stuck in ACC. :help i hate having to disconnect my neg termanal on my battery, every time

Omg japican we are having the same problem. My car has no spark now. it doesnt start. ever since i had rebuilt the head i drove the car wit no problem then had to change the thermostat and then once i was done i tried to turn it on and no spark. and it had nothing to do with the change of the thermostat.

Hello I'm also having this same problem.
I have taken all the steering colum covers off but when I look at all the wires I get lost. I see so many white connectors I'm too afraid to f*** anything up.
Does somebody have a helpful picture that will show me exactly which one to unplug??
